GOV. BILL LEE IS "SATISFIED"

Gov. Lee has proven himself to be unyielding and heartless. The lives of women are in jeopardy and we are losing good Doctors who refuse to practice in a state where they are threatened with jail time for providing necessary life saving care in maternity wards, those statistics are worsening. Yet our Governor refuses to meet with the New Suffragettes to discuss the amendment of this killer law.
Before the Trigger Ban went into effect Tennessee was rated #40 in providing quality care to those who are pregnant. Now with Doctors being threatened with jail time for providing necessary life saving care in maternity wards, those statistics are worsening.
Here are some basic facts:
Abortion is a medical term. The word Abortion is being stigmatized. The definition of Abortion is the termination of a pregnancy either by natural causes, medical assistance when necessary or by choice.
1-3 pregnancies result in miscarriage, and 50-60% of those need an abortion to avoid infection, and in order to save their lives.
26% of women under 40 experience a miscarriage
For each pregnancy after miscarriage the percentage of loss increases
74% of women over 40 experience a miscarriage
1 in every 50 pregnancies is ectopic - an ectopic pregnancy is not viable and is never viable
93.1% of abortions occur during the first trimester of pregnancy according to data available from before the Dobbs decision. Data includes medically necessary assisted abortions.
Forced Birth is barbaric
26.4% of College-Aged Women experience rape
Campus rape is systemic

1 in 4 girls is sexually assaulted before the age of 18
Sexual assault is so devasting to any person that 52% of those victims are clinically depressed. 50% of those victims attempt suicide. 25.6% of those that attempt suicide are successful.
There are over 400 rape kits in Tennessee that have not been processed
Females make up 82.5% of lone entrepreneurs and 55.4% of the overall workforce
Tennessee had the 10th highest rate of pregnancy discrimination charges
Nearly 1 in 6 women in Tennessee (15%) live in poverty
Large portions of women in Tennessee who have children under 18 are family breadwinners
In some states, Rapists can sue for Parental Rights
Homicide is one of the leading causes of death among pregnant and postpartum individuals in the United States.
